(More customer reviews)The emperor 400 has been redesigned as a cheaper unit and the reviews below of this once great filter are no longer accurate.
For example many of the pictures of emperor 400 and 280 units show a water volume control. This has been removed along with other features. the new motor is also less heavy duty and noisier!
I share the observations of glowing review below for my old emperors, but I can tell from the reference to the water volume (bypass) control that the review has the old model.
I just received a new emperor and out of the box it is noiser, and less powerful and has less features than my five year old model :(
