(More customer reviews)We have very bad water which I first distill and then filter with a pitcher. I thought I could switch filters to something cheaper (Brita) but quickly found that these PTC300 filters are far better at filtering out bad tastes.
Yes, they tend to be slower than the other filters, but they are definitely worth waiting for. Be sure to soak them well before the first use (see instructions in the package) and keep water in the pitcher so the filters don't dry out between uses and the speed will improve a little.
I keep saying I'll find something else to use, but every time I've tried other filters I kick myself for wasting money on 'filters' that barely work. These DuPont filters also last a LONG time!
I just wish there were a way to find these locally or with a discount for buying multiples at a time.
