(More customer reviews)i found this at a Lowe's half a year ago, and just barely replaced the filter today and just thought about writing a quick review for this cute lil thing!
it is an excellent filter that has really helped with the chlorine, and the "hard" reaction i feel towards my skin. my skin feels really good at the moment.. i want to say the white "balls" in this filter are moisturizers, but i am really not too sure. it looks like a goldmine inside at first, but will eventually turn a blackish color over time. i like how you can see inside this filter, it really makes you think about purchasing another just to keep the devils inside this filter off of you. i went 1 month over the 6 month period before swapping it out, and i still don't think it was ready to be replaced even then. i am the only one who uses my shower, but i take about 5-10 minute showers every day. i also don't like to believe 6 months is a proper date on any filter, it really depends on the location where you live.
another thing to note, when replacing the filter.. the flat part of the filter faces towards you in the shower. i forgot which way to re-insert it when i had popped it out to replace it. I did call the customer service number to find out for sure and they also told me that the filter works in either direction, but for best flow it is best in the direction i described. and the fact that there are no specific directions telling you which way it should face, that must be true. Sprite does sell reversible filtration systems that can be flipped over and used twice, but this filter is only good for one use in whichever direction you face it.
