I was having problems with the blue top filters not working at all, I determined they were a few millimeters too short, allowing the water to bypass the media all together. These have more rubber at the ends and I'm getting a better seal, capturing much more rust. Plus, they are cheaper than Home Depot and fit my GE housing.
