(More customer reviews)Most water filter housing units come with a dedicated wrench, however, for those of us who lose things, Culligan provides an inexpensive replacement. In order to get the water filter housing lower unit off (to change filter cartriges), this wrench is absolutely essential. I suggest bonding a string to it with tape or JB Weld, and affixing it to the area where the water filter is located.
The serrations on the wrench fit on the indentations on the lower filtration housing providing an exact fit. HOld on to the filtration cap with one hand and turn the wrench with the other hand. You don't want to torque the water filtration cap too much, or the copper water pipes leading in or out may become dislodged.
