(More customer reviews)This filter came with my 10 gallon thank that I bought 4 years ago. It finally kicked the bucket and they don't sell the elite 10's anywhere close to me in stores! Anyway, I like this filter. It's easy to use, easy to clean and it's quiet. Yes, you can hear a soft (and I mean very very soft) hum....but only if you really are focused on listening for it! Ususally I keep the water in my tank full to the top, so all is quiet. I won't buy another filter. :)
