Last fall my wife had such bad allergies (dust is worst) she was using an inhaler and nebulizer daily. August is the worst month for her. I had to take her to the emergency room twice before getting the nebulizer. In May I got the Kenmore 85500 Air Purifier for the bedroom. We also decided to use the window air conditioner and NOT a window fan. This fall was great. The inhaler was used a few times at night (doctor suggestion) and we never got the nebulizer out of the box!! Was it just the Kenmore 85500 Air Purifier?? Hard to tell for sure but it is quiet and seems to work very well collecting dust.
Cons:
'Replace filter' light come on after about 6 months. New filter is $75!! After putting in the new filter (old one was almost black with dirt (new one is white)) the 'replace filter' light is still on??
Of course $75 is much cheaper then a doctor and/or emergency room visit!
