(More customer reviews)This is by far the noisiest filter I have ever heard. Gave it one star because I had to give it something. Have no idea how it filters because I couldn't stand the droning noise for more than half an hour. My fish tank is in a semi-enclosed area where the noise echoes out into the room. My job requires me to transcribe work using ear phones. Could not hear with this going. Hopefully I can get my money back. Bought it replace a Top Fin because I couldn't find a replacement for the strainer end. The much quieter Top Fin is back in place with a temporary strainer.
